![]() ![]() Video Used for test, available on YouTube: "Bulgaria 8K HDR 60P (FUHD)" Internet Connection: 500mbps D/40mbps U (DOCSIS 3) So downloading a 4K or 8K video from YouTube means VP9 MKV file, and to get the video I use the software 4k Video Downloader. ![]() So I'm a data hoarder and I download EVERYTHING from youtube to my own servers to make sure I never lose the videos ever XD but when it comes to higher than 1080p on YouTube you're stuck with VP9 or VP9 or if you prefer VP9. So I've been using VLC for ages and it's an amazing piece of software but I feel it's exceptionally important for MacOS users, windows you still have MPC and other options if you must but MacOS very few if you can even consider them options (quicktime being one of them.), anyway the point of this thread is to report something that doesn't seem to be getting any attention and might be related to the codec or vlc, maybe someone can figure this out.
